Storm Damage

Hurricane Matthew was a surprise to the coast of Florida and Georgia. When this hurricane hit St. Simmons Island, damage was done. SERVPRO of Houston County responded to the need for assistance to help other SERVPROs in the area. These pictures show a home that was right on the coast. The home was flooded due to rain water and storm surge. We entered the home and began demolition to remove the damaged flooring. The after picture shows demolition in progress. We were in the middle of the floor demolition. In addition, the rest of the flooring along with drywall removal that needed to be done.
